Piano lessons in Amsterdam
Enthusiastic and qualified pianist and piano teacher (graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague) offers piano lessons in Amsterdam West (close to Vondelpark) to beginners, intermediate and advanced players. I have a wide experience in teaching piano to students of all ages and levels, some of my students won prizes at competitions. Others are learning how to accompany themselves or are intrigued by theoretical aspects of the music they play. Besides piano lessons I offer lessons in music theory and ear training as well. Every student needs an individual and personal approach, which is always my starting point when I teach piano. In addition to teaching I perform regularly, as a soloist and collaborative musician.
Playing music is fun and the most rewarding when the quality of your playing is high. During the lessons we work on technique, musical imagination, rhythm and sound quality, note-reading, chords and so on. You will develop your aural, visual, motoric and intellectual abilities all together at once, therefore studying music is one of the most complete brain training methods to be found.
My studio is located in Amsterdam West, near the Vondelpark. There are two grand pianos in my studio, a Steinway B (2.11m/ 7 ft) from 1930 with a rich and full vibrant sound, and a Kawai GS 40 that has an excellent action and great sound.
